UFP Policies
“Reliable services by accredited experts”
UFP provides primarily a mental health nursing & psychology expert witness service. However we can also procure Psychiatry medico-legal services.
Our mental health nursing expert services are provided by Caroline Williams. Caroline Williams is a registered mental health nurse (part 13 NMC register) and psychotherapist. She is also a Teaching Fellow at The University of Manchester and a Clinical Advisor for the Healthcare Commission. Caroline is a trained expert witness and has completed the Bond Solon expert witness CUBS programme. Caroline is also on the Royal College of Nursing expert witness database.

Our psychology expert services are provided by Patricia Campbell Hughes. Patricia is an accomplished Chartered Psychologist and is based in Newport, South Wales. She has many years experience working in the public sector with a variety of client groups. She is an accredited cognitive & behavioural psychotherapist and is a trained expert witness and has completed the Bond Solon expert witness CUBS programme.
Patricia is employed by a Local Authority and also has a Private Practice. Her work with the Local Authority involves individual therapy with families, group work, reporting to Court and training. The training undertaken includes covers a broad range of subjects to multi-disciplinary teams as well as Joint Investigation Training for the Police and Social Workers on communicating with children.
Prior to working for the Local Authority, Patricia was employed by NHS Psychology Department, Adult Mental Health Department working with mild, moderate & severe mentally ill patients as well as those who misuse substances. Patricia is an BABCP accredited cognitive & behavioural psychotherapist.
Patricia supervises four counsellors employed by the Local Authority. She also sits on an Adoption Panel . Patricia has experience in reporting to both Family Court, Criminal and County Court. Patricia has been in practice for 15 years.

Accredited CBT therapists are in short supply, however all UFP therapists are accredited with the British Association for Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). UFP provided CBT services for personal injury, employee assistance programmes as well as part of a general rehabilitation package.
